Hey Chummers, it's Norsk.
Okay, here is my take on our chummer Johnson Tobias:
After his big "investment", Babe Nikita Nova, felt like she has outgrown his management and decided to move on, this little shit felt betrayed and played by his big star. Afraid his good image might take a huge hit when he loses one of his biggest clients, he himself sent some hate-mail to Nova, buying himself some time and setting the gears for his o-so-genius plot. Angry fans and upset audience my white dwarf-ass.
Then he hired us. Protecting his investment and shit. Of course we clued in fast, that eight people might be a bit over the top for a simple bodyguard job.
We weren't bodyguards, we were an alibi.
After Nova's decision to leave Tobias was made, he took the next step in his plan and kidnapped her.
Think about it for a minute. If his super-talented SimSin-Star gets geeked, all her records, all her shows, all her freakin' merchandise will go up in value by an insane amount. Royalties right into Tobias' pockets. Maybe even a fund-raiser or two for supporting the mourning manager.
This business is build upon tragedy after all.
It could have been such a sweet life for him, don't you think?
Now, why first hire us to protect her, when he wants to see her dead? Well, that's just the cherry-flavored suger-bomb on top of this idiotic plan.
Johnson Tobias was a little bit over his head; guess money can't buy common sense.
We weren't bodyguards, we were the angry mob of disappointed fans. At least, that's how he would have tried to frame us in the end. He surely has enough influence to make us look like the killers, that first threatened, then kidnapped and geeked his precious Nova.
Well Tobias, you fucked with the wrong gang, now didn't you? Good thing hackers are paranoid enough to keep trid-records of evereything, including backstabbing managers. Let's see how much influence and reputation you have left, after this little incident becomes public. Of course we ain't monsters, and could be convinced to keep quiet if the motivation is right, you know ...
